Athlete Mug Shots Every year athletes from all sports find themselves in the throes of various legal woes. In 2010, there were plenty of first-timers, repeat offenders and off-kilt offenses.

 From a Paralympic athlete smuggling Viagra across the border to trying to a football player breaking into a pizza parlor after hours, here are some of America's most mischievous and checkered athletes.



Gilbert Arenas

Who: All-Star guard for the Washington Wizards (highlights)

When: Dec. 21, 2009 (news broke in 2010 and Arenas was suspended in 2010)

Rap sheet: Arenas was also arrested in Miami in 2006 along with a former teammate.

Braylon Edwards

Why?

Rap sheet: Edwards has been pulled over several times for excessive speeding and was charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly attacking a friend of this basketball star outside an Ohio club in 2009.

Chris Rainey

Matthew Every

Nate Montana

James Edward Neal
Who: Former NASCAR driver

Where: San Clemente, Calif.

Why?

Rap sheet: Within less than a month, the 56-year-old Neal was arrested three times. In May for this, then again two weeks later, and finally for this.

Henri Zogaib
Who: Former Grand-Am Series race car driver (photos)

Where: Central Florida

Why?

Rap sheet: No prior convictions, but police reportedly investigated Zogaib for two years before finally arresting him.

Chad Rinehart
Who: Offensive lineman for the New York Jets (photos)

Why?

War Machine
Who: Former Mixed Martial Arts fighter (highlights). What's his real name?

Why?

Chris Chelios
Who: Retired NHL player (highlights)

Where: Westmont, Ill.

Why?

Lawrence Taylor
Who: Former linebacker for the New York Giants, now in the NFL Hall of Fame (highlights)

Why?

Rap sheet: Taylor has a history of drug abuse and alcohol abuse and has even talked about sex with prostitutes.

Adam 'Pacman' Jones
Who: Cornerback for the Cincinnati Bengals (highlights). Why "Pacman"?

Where: Cincinnati

Why?

Rap sheet: Jones has also been arrested at a nightclub, outside his home and during training camp. He's been in the clear since 2006.

Chris Jericho
Who: WWE wrestler (highlights). What is his real name?

When: Jan. 27, 2010

Where: Fort Mitchell, Ky.

Why?

Rap sheet: The arrest led to more trouble for Jericho. He had a previous run-in with the law when a female fan did this.

Plaxico Burress

Why?

Rap sheet: Burress had previous run-ins for this, damages and multiple driving violations.
